I love crayons too! Whenever my daughter gets a new box I'm the one who ends up coloring! I'm looking forward to trying the heat method! Have you tried heating the paper after coloring?
Our childhood memories of quickly filling in our coloring books with single colors come flooding back. Drawing with crayons as an adult is much more difficult, and the reason is twofold. One, we seem to regress into our juvenile minds, and expect the old feelings of easy coloring to reemerge. Secondly, our need to make things look more realistic interferes with the fun. I could sense her frustration, and understood from where it was coming.
Crayon art is not just for kids anymore! Kristina Nelson is a crayon artist from Duluth, Minnesota who creates fine art entirely from crayons. Kristina's crayon artwork runs the gamut: most of her drawings radiate with vibrant color, but she creates entire portraits using just a single black crayon. Most of her drawings are realist in style, but she also creates whimsical pieces straight from her imagination.
Apologies for that expense. Make crayon art! These crafts are for both kids and grown-ups. Or teens and tweens who enjoy handmade crafts.
